Common Questions

1. What exactly is Multi Dish Tadka?

Multi Dish Tadka is a ready-to-use Indian gravy base — a slow-cooked masala paste made from onion, tomato, ginger, garlic, oil, and spices, just like in a traditional Punjabi kitchen. One pouch lets you make 70+ Indian dishes in under 15 minutes — paneer, dal, chicken, kadhi, sabzis, pao bhaji, masala rice, and more. The full video recipe library is accessible by scanning the QR code on the pouch.

2. Why does my pouch have oil floating on top? Is it spoiled?

Not at all — that's a sign of authenticity. Traditional Indian gravies, when slow-cooked the right way, naturally release oil. It's the same "tel chhodta hua masala" that grandmothers and dhaba chefs swear by. Just give the pouch a quick stir or shake before use, and the oil will mix back in. Nothing has gone wrong — it's actually a marker that the masala has been bhuna properly.

3. How is this different from MTR, ITC, or other ready-to-eat brands?

Most ready-to-eat products in the market are either retort-pouched (heat-sterilised, which kills freshness), dehydrated (loses authentic taste), or paste-based with synthetic emulsifiers. Mumika Foods is the only stove-cooked, hand-prepared bhuna gravy you can buy in a pouch — no machines, no retort, no dehydration. It tastes like a real dhaba kitchen because it's made like one.

We also don't add preservatives, artificial colours, stabilisers, or allergens. Our 9-month shelf life comes from how the masala is bhuna, not from chemicals.

4. How many servings do I get from one pouch?

A 150g pouch makes a gravy dish for roughly 4 people, or a dry sabzi for 2. The 1kg Family Pack serves around 25 people — ideal for parties, big families, or commercial kitchens.

5. How do I use it?

Heat a pan, add the required amount of Multi Dish Tadka, add your main ingredient (paneer, chicken, dal, vegetables, etc.) and water as per the dish. Cook for 8-10 minutes. Done.

Scan the QR code on the pouch front to access free step-by-step video recipes for 70+ dishes on our YouTube channel.

6. Does it contain preservatives, artificial colours, or allergens?

No. Multi Dish Tadka has zero preservatives, zero artificial colours, zero stabilisers, and no declared allergens. It's lab-tested at NABL-accredited and USFDA-level standards.

7. Is it vegan and vegetarian friendly?

Yes, the base itself is 100% plant-based (vegan and vegetarian). You can use it for both vegetarian dishes (paneer, dal, sabzi, kadhi) and non-vegetarian dishes (chicken, mutton, fish) by simply adding your protein of choice.

8. Why is it priced higher than other ready-mix products in the market?

Because what's inside is genuinely different. We slow-cook each batch by hand on stove using real onions, real tomatoes, and full-quality whole spices — no shortcuts, no machine-made bulk pastes, no fillers. It costs us more to make, but you taste the difference in the first bite.

A 150g pouch makes meals for 4 people. Per serving, it works out to a fraction of what a Swiggy/Zomato order costs — and tastes like home.

9. How long does it last? Do I need to refrigerate after opening?

Unopened: 9 months at room temperature in a cool, dry place. No refrigeration needed.

After opening: refrigerate and use within 5-7 days for best taste.

10. Do you ship internationally? Are customs, VAT, and shipping included?

Yes, we currently ship to the UK with all customs, duties, VAT, and shipping included in the price you see at checkout. No surprise charges, no extra fees on delivery.

We're expanding to more countries soon — if your country isn't listed yet, drop us a message at support@mumikafoods.com and we'll let you know when we go live there.

11. How long does delivery take?

You'll receive a tracking link as soon as your order ships.
